The Technology

NIRS is an optical technique that has found widespread use in patient monitoring and non-invasive medical diagnostics.

Urodynamix’s initial NIRS technology was exclusively licensed from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Company has conducted extensive clinical studies and demonstrated the safety and efficacy of this non-invasive diagnostic technique for a range of diverse applications in the fields of urology, men’s health and patient monitoring.

Urodynamix’s technology complements existing diagnostic urology procedures and could quickly become a standard of care by replacing unnecessary invasive, catheter-based procedures. Urodynamix’s first product, the Tetra™Bladder Monitor System for non-invasive urodynamics, will be marketed by Laborie Medical Technologies, the world leader in diagnostic urology equipment beginning in 2008.
