Urodynamix Forms Medical Advisory Board

 

Prominent Medical Doctors to Assist in Product Development

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, February 20, 2007 - Urodynamix Technologies Ltd. (TSX-V:URO) today announced that it has formed a Medical Advisory Board (“MAB”) comprised of internationally renowned experts in the fields of near infrared spectroscopy (“NIRS”), urological disorders and sexual dysfunction. The expert panel will review clinical data and medical issues, providing input and guidance during the development of the Company’s NIRS technology. The inaugural MAB meeting was held on February 17, 2007.

“It is a great honor that these influential figures have agreed to advise us,” said Barry Allen, President and CEO of Urodynamix. “Their extensive experience in research and clinical practice will help direct our efforts in product development and clinical validation. They will also help us communicate the value of our NIRS technology and educate the healthcare community as we continue to develop and validate our portfolio of non-invasive diagnostic products.”

The Urodynamix Medical Advisory Board will include the following members:

--   Sender Herschorn, BSc, MDCM, FRCSC, Professor and Chair of the University of Toronto’s Division of Urology and Director of Continuing Professional Development for the Department of Surgery. Dr. Herschorn’s clinical and research interests include incontinence and voiding dysfunction, female urology, urodynamics, prostheses and urologic reconstruction.

--   Tom F. Lue, MD, Professor and Vice Chair of Urology in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lue holds the Emil Tanagho Endowed Chair in Clinical Urology and serves as Medical Director of the Knuppe Molecular Urology Laboratory at UCSF Medical Center. He specializes in male erectile dysfunction, neurourology and Peyronie’s disease.

--   Andrew Macnab, MD (London), FRCPC, FRCPCH, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia (“UBC”) and the Division of Critical Care at Children’s and Women’s Hospital of British Columbia in Vancouver and the leader of the UBC NIRS research group. Dr. Macnab will act as Chairman of the Urodynamix MAB.

--   Zeid Mohamedali, MD, PhD, FRCSC, consulting urologist at a number of British Columbia hospitals and a member of the Urodynamix Board of Directors since November 2006. Dr. Mohamedali has over 20 years of experience in medical research and clinical practice, with expertise in oncology and urology.


--   Sidney Radomski, MD, FRCSC, Associate Professor of Surgery (Urology) at the University of Toronto and Director of the Urodynamics Laboratory at Toronto Western Hospital (University Health Network). Dr. Radomski’s clinical and research interests are in the areas of erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction, prostate diseases and urodynamics.

--   Lynn Stothers, MD, FRCSC, Associate Professor of Urology/Surgery at UBC and Director of Research at the UBC Bladder Care Centre in Vancouver, BC. Dr. Stothers specializes in urodynamics and neurourology, reconstructive urology, female urology, epidemiology and medical economics.
