Urodynamix Technologies Ltd. has an exclusive worldwide license to intellectual property held by The University of British Columbia (UBC) related to the use of NIRS in the diagnosis of bladder conditions. Urodynamix also has a number of additional patents pending for the use of NIRS in a variety of medical applications.

Intellectual Property for Urology Applications


The first US provisional patent application entitled “Spectrophotometric Technique for Patient Monitoring of Bladder Oxygenation” was filed October 15, 2003. Additional research, human trials, and further refinement of the technique continued, and on July 7, 2004 a second provisional patent application entitled “Methods and Apparatus for Urodynamic Analysis” was filed in Canada and in the United States. These provisional applications were subsequently combined, along with additional human clinical data, in a PCT application filed October 14, 2004.
